This training course will use a variety of experiential and direct teaching training methods, as well as case studies, vignettes, and card sort exercises to create an active learning environment. The programme for the course explores what children need, good enough parenting. The effects and the impact of problem drinking on parenting and children. Protective parenting: a realistic approach for problem drinkers. Whilst developing an approach to working with problematic drinkers which are practical and skills based.
