Developing & maintaining Professional Boundaries - Two Day Course:


This exciting and important course is aimed at professionals in the caring professions it will benefit workers that are new to their respective field's as well as those who may be established workers. The course is designed to provide opportunities to explore and develop all aspects of the relationship with clients. The course aims to help participants reflect on their current practise and explore evidence and experience based ideas for enhancing their relationships with clients.

The course is experiential and task focused. By using examples of best practise and breakout discussion groups there are opportunities to explore and understand the principles and practicalities of professional boundary setting. As well as being given theoretical input by the facilitator participants will be given time to reflect on their practise and share experiences. In addition there will be time spent problem solving in relation to the challenges and difficulties associated with setting and maintaining boundaries.

By the end of the course participants will have:

 

  • Understand the principles of appropriate and professional boundaries.
  • Develop the ability to set and maintain professional boundaries.
  • Develop a deeper understanding of the challenges involved.
  • Develop skills and confidence in relation to the issue.
  • Develop skills strategies and resilience when faced with challenges to boundaries.
